R U OK?

R U OK? A simple question that can make a massive difference.

We want everyone here at Allsafe to feel confident they know the signs someone might need support by listening to what they’re saying, seeing what they’re doing or knowing what’s going on in their life.

Whenever we notice a change, no matter how small, we want everyone to trust their gut and start an R U OK? conversation.

We have certified Mental Health First Aiders and James Fearns (pictured) one of our project managers takes a progressive stance on maintaining the lines of communication.

We openly discussed day to day items such as work relationships, money, family and not to take someone at face value as it’s impossible to see what lays behind a face.

The talk went well and we had some biscuits and drinks. The team were fantastic and we could see a real togetherness as a unit.

Mental Health is a growing concern but at the same time, underestimated generally. The days of Scaffolding muscle & ego’s needs to take an alternative view as we all have things going on in life and no two people are the same.

Overall, the feedback was excellent and we left the meeting open ended so everyone knew that they could talk to us about absolutely anything!
